SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- Wednesday was "Spotify Wrapped day," when the popular music service sends a personalized video to listeners showing which artists, songs and genres they listened to most in 2024. Spotify also released region-specific data, showing which songs were popular in major metro areas.

Spotify's "Wrapped Mapped" showed the top five songs in San Francisco in 2024. The list featured a mix of pop, hip-hop and K-pop.

It should come as no surprise that the most-streamed song in San Francisco this year was Sabrina Carpenter's "Espresso." Check out the rest of the top five below:

  • No. 1: "Espresso" by Sabrina Carpenter
  • No. 2: "BIRDS OF A FEATHER" by Billie Eilish
  • No. 3: "Good Luck, Babe!" by Chappell Roan
  • No. 4: "Not Like Us" by Kendrick Lamar
  • No. 5: "Who" by Jimin

Carpenter burst onto the scene in 2024. "Espresso" was the most-streamed song on Spotify for the year across the world, and her album "Short n' Sweet" was the third-most streamed, trailing projects by Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish.

The diminutive pop star performed in San Francisco twice last year, taking the stage at Outside Lands on Aug. 10 and selling out Chase Center on Nov. 9. Fans even lined up as early as 4 a.m. to see Carpenter at Golden State Warriors' arena.

Further down the list, fellow pop stars Chappell Roan and Billie Eilish claimed the next two spots. Rapper Kendrick Lamar's West Coast hit "Not Like Us" broke in at No. 4 -- many hip-hop fans considered the song to be the death blow in Lamar's feud with Drake. Rounding out the list was K-pop star Jimin of the boy band BTS.

San Francisco's list resembled the top song lists in other West Coast cities. Los Angeles' list included the same five artists, though Jimin's "Like Crazy" and L.A. native Lamar's "Not Like Us" leapfrogged "Espresso."

Worldwide, the top artists on Spotify Wrapped were Swift, The Weeknd, Bad Bunny, Drake and Eilish. In the United States, the top five were Swift, Drake, Zach Bryan, Morgan Wallen and Kanye West.
