Man charged with armed robberies of St. Paul bank, Minneapolis Walgreens
He's accused of brandishing a rifle during the June robberies.
A 25-year-old has been federally charged with armed robberies of a St. Paul bank and a Minneapolis business.
A grand jury indicted Korey Maurese Hale of Minneapolis, with the court document unsealed after he was arrested earlier this week.
Hale is accused of robbing the BMO Bank at Snelling and Randolph avenues in St. Paul. Officers were called to the bank on June 8 at about 9:20 a.m., and later found Hale in the area and arrested him, according to a police report.
The day before, Hale allegedly robbed a Walgreens at Chicago Avenue and 43rd Street in Minneapolis. It happened about 6:50 p.m. on June 7. Hale used the same rifle while robbing the businesses in Minneapolis and St. Paul, according to the indictment.
He’s charged with robbery, armed bank robbery and two counts of brandishing a firearm during a bank robbery.
Hale’s attorney could not be reached for comment Friday.
