Free MTS bus and Trolley rides offered on New Year's Eve
The San Diego Metropolitan Transit System is offering free bus and Trolley rides for those looking for a safe ride on New Year's Eve.
SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- The San Diego Metropolitan Transit System is offering free bus and Trolley rides for those looking for a safe ride on New Year's Eve.
On Tuesday, Dec. 31, passengers will not need to pay for fare when boarding MTS buses or Trolleys after 6 p.m. Additionally, MTS will operate extra late-night service on all Trolley lines, with service past 2 a.m.
"Ring in the New Year downtown and plan to let the Trolley take you home," MTS officials noted in a press release announcing the free rides and extended service.
A number of transit stations offer free parking for those who will need to make their way to a trolley station or bus stop. Find the closest Park and Ride to where you need to travel by using this Transit Station Parking guide. Keep in mind, parking at any Trolley station is limited to 24 hours.
