Design group chosen for miSci renovations
Plans to renovate the Museum of Innovation and Science in Schenectady are starting to move forward.
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Plans to renovate the Museum of Innovation and Science in Schenectady are starting to move forward. Schenectady Metroplex has chosen a design group to study the building and decide how to renovate it.
The museum was at risk of closing because of water under the basement that was threatening the foundation. The museum received $10 million from New York State to make necessary repairs after museum leaders concluded moving to a new location would be too difficult.
