AFD battling downtown Austin structure fire

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- The Austin Fire Department is battling a structure fire in downtown Austin, the agency said on social media.
AFD crews responded to the fire in the 300 block of East Second Street shortly after 8 p.m. Those crews were "fighting heavy fire" through the roof of the building, which AFD said was "abandoned structure."
Drivers should avoid the area or seek alternate routes, as traffic may be delayed.
