Yelp determines top 100 Bay Area eateries

The City by Bay was just named the second top food city in America by Wallet Hub. Across the Bay, Oakland was recently dubbed the No.1 Best Food City in the U.S. by voters by readers in the 2024 Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards.
Yelp has released the top 100 places to eat in the Bay Area.
Here are the top ten eateries
- Zareen’s in Palo Alto
- Duc Huong in San Jose
- The Laundromat in San Francisco
- Butchers Korean BBQ in Sunnyvale
- Tony’s Pizza Napoletana in San Franisco
- House of Prime Rib in San Francisco
- Komeya No Bento in San Franisco
- Breakfast Little in San Francisco
- Tiny Sushi – Oh Baby in Daly City
- San Tung in San Francisco
The list is quite diverse.
Zareen’s has Indian and Pakistani cuisine. Restaurant owner Zareen Khan says the food is “healthful, slow-cooked, mildly spiced, and always made with love and integrity.”
Duc Huong is a sandwich spot that says they offer “authentic Vietnamese cooking, best-served sandwiches and street food from Saigon to Hanoi with fresh ingredients and old recipes.”
Tony’s Pizza Napoletana was recently ranked No. 6 out of the top 50 in the world by the Italian pizza guide “50 Top Pizza.”
Methodology
The Yelp Elites identified Bay Area businesses in the restaurants category and then ranked those spots using several factors, including the total volume and ratings of reviews given by Yelp Elite Squad members between Aug. 2023 and Aug. 2024.
Yelp Elite Squad is a group of local reviewers who champion small businesses and explore their city with events and perks.
