ST. LOUIS - A striking display in honor of local veterans buried at Jefferson National Barracks Cemetery.
Volunteers with Wreaths Across America paid tribute to nearly 200,000 servicemen and women buried at Jefferson Barracks in a ceremony Saturday. They placed wreaths on the graves of fallen veterans and read their names out loud. FOX 2's Shirley Washington was among the volunteers.
Organizers say they hope the St. Louis community will remember its fallen heroes this holiday season and always remember the ultimate sacrifice made for our country.
You can visit Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery every day from sunrise to sunset. The wreaths will be removed on January 18.
