Chula Vista police continued Saturday to investigate the suspicious deaths of a
man and woman found dead in their Eastlake residence.

Just before 2:30 p.m. on Friday, officers responded to the 1600 block of Paseo Carina to investigate a call from a neighbor in the townhouse community, police said in a news release.

The caller had concerns about a specific residence, including not having seen the occupants for weeks.

When officers arrived, they conducted a welfare check and located a deceased 57-year-old male and 71-year-old female, believed to be the residents of the townhome.

The Chula Vista Police Department’s violent crimes unit responded. The victims’ identities are being withheld until notification of family members.

Anyone with information is asked to contact San Diego County Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477 or submit tips anonymously online.
