According to LoveFood.com, the best doughnut in Missouri is called "Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate" and served at Vincent Van Doughnut in the City of St. Louis.
Located at 1072 Tower Grove Avenue in St. Louis' Forest Park Southeast neighborhood, Vincent Van Doughnut prides itself on handcrafted artisan doughnuts made fresh daily with unique flavors and top-quality ingredients.
Vincent Van Doughnut offers limited seating, making it primarily a pick-up destination for its handcrafted treats. Serving the St. Louis community since 2013, the shop has become a beloved staple. Vincent Brian Marsden founded the shop and recently passed on ownership to longtime employee Michael McKinlay.
LoveFood.com offers the following review of "Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate" at Vincent Van Doughnut:
"The brilliantly named Vincent Van Doughnut is the place to go for creative, made-from-scratch donuts and the St. Louis store is open only until its goodies sell out. With donuts this good, that’s usually pretty quickly. Experimental flavors come and go, pleasing palates along the way, but a firm favorite is the deliciously decadent Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate: a sour cream donut with a chocolate glaze, chocolate chips, and chocolate ganache."
Among its strides in recent years, Vincent Van Doughnut also had the opportunity to participate in the Cooking Channel's "Donut Showdown" competition in 2015.
