These Colorado counties saw the most snow during the late October storm

DENVER (KDVR) -- Snow fell across Colorado on Tuesday and Wednesday, with some areas totaling up to half a foot of snow.

The snowstorm started on Tuesday, with areas like Loveland Pass seeing a dusting in the morning and other areas totaling almost half a foot by the night. Wednesday was a Pinpoint Weather Alert Day due to the light rain and snow in areas across the Front Range and the hard freeze overnight in Denver.

While counties like Delta and Gunnison saw much of the snow on Tuesday, snow was only recorded in five locations across the state. That is until Wednesday when the storm covered more parts of the state with snow.

Mesa County saw the most snow, totaling 6 inches by the end of the storm. Meanwhile. Delta County saw 5.5 inches of snow. Counties like Grand and Gunnison ended the storm with 5 inches of snow and Routt County saw the fifth most amount of snow with 4.3 inches.

While areas across Colorado recorded up to half a foot of snow, Denver still hasn't seen the first flakes of the year. Pinpoint Weather meteorologists expect the city's first snow to be one of the latest first snowfalls in Denver history, with the first snow to fall starting in November.

Denver is still in the 50s and 60s, but not for long. Pinpoint Weather meteorologists are tracking snow chances on Monday, which could bring Denver's first snow of the season.
