(KRON) – The California Highway Patrol Hayward division officers located two firearms and an open container of alcohol in an enforcement stop, the department announced Saturday.
CHP officers conducted an enforcement stop in Hayward for a mechanical violation. The occupants were both under the age of 21. However, officers found an open container of alcohol on the driver's floorboard.
From further investigation, CHP located two firearms in the center console (pictured above). CHP said one of the handguns was registered and the other was stolen.
