Distillery closing next month in RiNo, moving to Boulder County
The new facility in Louisville will include a larger production space, tasting room, patio and event space.
Ironton Distillery is following through on previously announced plans to close its six-year-old facility in the River North Art District and move its operation to the town of Louisville.
Its last day at 3636 Chestnut Place, will be Dec. 21.
“The biggest impetus for the closure … focuses squarely on preparing to open a new start-of-the-art production facility and expanded tasting room in Louisville, slated to open in 2026,” the woman-owned and managed company said in a statement.
“This expanded facility will include a larger production space, along with a welcoming tasting room, a beautiful outdoor patio, and a dedicated event space ideal for private gatherings. The new location will also bring its barrel-aging facility all under one roof.”
And while that means that Ironton won’t have a taproom for more than a year, the distillery said its “products will remain available across Colorado” in stores and via delivery online.
The new location will be at 1303 Empire Road in Louisville.
