SPAC announces 2024 "Sounds of the Season" series

On Thursday, Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) announced the return of the "Sounds of the Season" holiday series. From December 13-15, three concerts will transform the Spa Little Theater with holiday cheer with music ranging from classical to pop.

SPAC announces 2024 "Sounds of the Season" series

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- On Thursday, Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) announced the return of the "Sounds of the Season" holiday series. From December 13-15, three concerts will transform the Spa Little Theater with holiday cheer with music ranging from classical to pop.

"Our ‘Sounds of the Season’ concerts, which feature artists that span everything from classical to jazz, gospel and pop, have quickly become an adored holiday tradition in our region. We look forward to bringing our community together in the intimate Spa Little Theater for this weekend of celebration," Elizabeth Sobol, President and CEO of Saratoga Performing Arts Center said.

Concert Schedule:

  • A Time for Three Holiday
    • Dec. 13 at 7 p.m.
    • Description: In addition to incredible arrangements of Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen, Led Zeppelin and others, the trio featuring Charles Yang (violin, vocals), Nicolas “Nick” Kendall (violin, vocals), and Ranaan Meyer (double bass, vocals), will present original music and special arrangements of holiday favorites.
  • Damien Sneed: A Gospel Holiday
    • Dec. 14 at 7 p.m.
    • Description: Damien Sneed is a pianist, vocalist, organist, composer, conductor, arranger, producer, and arts educator. Sneed returns to SPAC with an all-new project, “A Gospel Holiday,” featuring his original arrangements of gospel, jazz, and classical holiday favorites like Silent Night, The Christmas Song and Jesus, Oh What A Wonderful Child.
  • VOCES8: Winter Tales
    • Dec. 15 at 7 p.m.
    • Description: The group showcases their diverse musical expression and versatility through an extensive repertoire ranging from the Renaissance to contemporary. Their program “Winter Tales” features a mix of holiday music spanning centuries from Es ist ein Ros’ entsprungen to Let it Snow.
