San Diego FC to Kick Off Inaugural Home Match at Snapdragon Stadium on March 1

Blow the whistle! San Diego FC (SDFC), Major League Soccer’s newest club, will make its long-awaited home debut against St. Louis CITY SC at Snapdragon Stadium on Saturday, March 1, 2025.

Presented by DIRECTV, this match marks SDFC’s first-ever home game in the league, the team announced Monday.

Before this historic home opener, SDFC will kick off its inaugural season by facing the LA Galaxy during the opening weekend of 2025 MLS action on Feb. 22-23 at Dignity Health Sports Park.

SDFC, announced as MLS’s 30th club in May 2023, is set to compete in the league’s 30th season. Fans eager to attend the March 1 home match can secure seats by becoming Season Ticket Members, which also grants priority access to the season opener against the Galaxy. Ahead of their debut season, SDFC will participate in the MLS Expansion Draft on Dec. 11, allowing them to select up to five players. The club also holds the first overall pick in the MLS SuperDraft on Dec. 20. The current roster includes international stars such as Hirving “Chucky” Lozano and rising talents like goalkeeper Duran Ferree.

All SDFC matches will be available on MLS Season Pass via Apple TV.
