EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Residents in the town of East Greenbush and the city of Rensselaer are being asked to conserve water as crews install a new valve at the Cross Street Pump Station. The previous valve broke in April during an upgrade at the pump station.
Officials said the first stage of repairs should take about 24 hours to be completed. During that time, residents are asked to avoid using large amounts of water when possible.
This is the first of several planned shutdowns over the next week.
