Propane truck rollover in Burnet Co. prompts road closure
Roads are still shut down in Burnet County after a propane truck rolled over earlier on Tuesday, the Texas Department of Public Safety told KXAN.
AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Roads are still shut down in Burnet County after a propane truck rolled over earlier on Tuesday, the Texas Department of Public Safety told KXAN.
DPS responded to the crash on a private road near RM 2342, where multiple agencies — including a Hazmat team — responded to the scene. The driver was not injured, and DPS said the truck was carrying around 2,800 pounds of propane.
KXAN viewer Michael Scott Wagner sent us footage of a fire after the rollover happened, which can be viewed in the video player above.
The agency said nearby residents were evacuated as a precaution. DPS will provide updates when the roadway is back open.
No other details were provided Tuesday.
