Popular Korean fried chicken chain ramps up Bay Area expansion with Dublin location

(KRON) -- After opening two new Bay Area locations within the past month, Korean fried chicken chain bb.q Chicken is continuing to expand in the region. According to its website, a bb.q Chicken restaurant is opening in Dublin and is "coming soon".

The newest location of the South Korea-based chain will open at 7940 Dublin Blvd. No opening date has been announced.

Recently, bb.q Chicken opened in San Bruno and Oakland -- marking a total of six Bay Area locations currently open. The other four are in Cupertino, Milpitas, Sunnyvale and San Jose.

The upcoming opening of bb.q Chicken marks another popular Korean establishment to open in Dublin. Grocery chain H Mart is set to open at 7884 Dublin Blvd. -- about a five-minute walk from the chicken restaurant. No opening date has been announced for the grocery store.

According to its website, bb.q Chicken chain serves 14 different wing flavors, including Honey Garlic, Golden Original and Gangnam Style. bb.q Chicken offers breasts, thighs, boneless and/or traditional bone-in wings. The assortment of flavors varies by location.

bb.q, which stands for “Best of the Best Quality,” was founded in South Korea by Yoon Hong-guen in 1995. It opened its first U.S. location in 2014. The company has since opened more than 3,500 restaurants across 57 countries.
