Pattonville High School employee arrested for inappropriate student relationship
An employee of Pattonville High School was arrested Tuesday afternoon for having an inappropriate relationship with a student.
MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. - An employee of Pattonville High School was arrested Tuesday afternoon for having an inappropriate relationship with a student.
According to police, 45-year-old Corey Lewis was a permanent substitute teacher and coach at the high school.
He had an inappropriate relationship with a student, who was 16 years old at the time, between August 2012 and December 2013.
The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office has issued felony charges against Lewis for one count of second-degree statutory rape and five counts of sexual contact with a student.

"This remains an active investigation, and no further details will be disclosed at this
time to protect the integrity of the case and the privacy of those involved," the police department stated in a release.
Lewis is being held at the St. Louis County Justice Center on a $250,000 cash-only bond.
