One man dead, two others injured in shooting near United Center Sunday
The shooting occurred minutes before a Lil Durk concert was set to begin at the arena.
An 18-year-old man was pronounced dead early Monday morning after he and two others were struck by gunfire outside the United Center Sunday night, according to Chicago police.
The shooting occurred on the 100 block of North Wolcott minutes before the 7 p.m. start time of rapper Lil Durk’s concert in the arena.
All three victims were transported to John H. Stroger Hospital. A teenager, 15, was reported in good condition after being shot in the hand and sustaining a graze wound to the abdomen. The other two victims, 18 and 19, were reported in critical condition after being struck in the chest and rib area, respectively.
The 18-year-old was pronounced dead at 2:52 a.m. Monday, authorities said.
No one is in custody. Detectives are investigating.
