(BCN) -- Oakland police are asking for the public's help identifying and finding three suspects in a January homicide from East Oakland. Police on Thursday released photos of three people dressed in hoodies who they believe are connected to the Jan. 13 shooting death.
The victim was Derrick Xavior Scott, 29, of Oakland, according to the Alameda County Coroner's Bureau. In one photo, it appears as if a suspect in a green hoodie was pointing or firing a pistol from behind the front end of a black four-door Lexus ES 350 with visible damage to the driver-side fender.
Scott was shot a little before 3 p.m. on Jan. 13 in the 9300 block of A Street near 93rd Avenue. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Anyone with information is asked to call OPD's homicide section at (510) 238-3821.
