A motorcyclist died in a Beach Park crash Friday night.
BEACH PARK, Ill. - A motorcyclist died in a Beach Park crash Friday night.
According to the Lake County Coroner's Office, Lake County Sheriff's Deputies were sent to the intersection of Green Bay Road and Aviation Drive at around 11:15 p.m. to investigate a crash involving a car and a motorcycle. When deputies arrived, they found the motorcyclist - identified as 56-year-old Daniel Davis - dead.
The preliminary investigation revealed the motorcycle was traveling on Green Bay Road at a high rate of speed when it hit a vehicle that was turning onto Chaplin Street from Green Bay Road, according to investigators.
The coroner's office said an autopsy was conducted Monday and results indicated Davis died from blunt force injuries sustained in the crash.
The Lake County Sheriff's Office Technical Crash Investigations Team is continuing to investigate.
