JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - April 22, 2025, marks 100 days for Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe’s Administration.

Maintaining a conservative approach to his policies, Kehoe took his oath of office on Jan. 13, 2025.

The Governor’s Office shared the announcement today, outlining various initiatives for Missourians that include public safety, educational opportunities and economic growth.

“As we reach this milestone of 100 days in the Governor's Office, I am humbled by and proud of the progress we’ve made in a short time,” Kehoe said. “Our focus remains on delivering practical, commonsense solutions that improve the lives of Missourians across our state—and we’re just getting started.”

On his first day in office, Kehoe signed six executive orders, which aimed to combat illegal immigration as well as help the police.

The governor also made about 100 appointments to boards, commissions, judiciary and county-level jobs.

Other efforts by Kehoe include:

  • Removing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) in Missouri state agencies
  • Launching the forward-thinking School Funding Modernization Task Force and Workforce of the Future Challenge
  • Establishing recovery efforts for communities impacted by severe weather

In March, Kehoe also signed House Bill 495, which would create a five-person board that will take control of the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. This takeover will go into effect in August.

“Because it’s needed,” Kehoe said previously in response to signing HB 495. “Sometimes you got to make decisions in leadership to do what you think is best for the people that you serve.”
