MILTON, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Wind-Chill Factory & Mini-Golf, located at 3 Trieble Avenue in Milton, is staying open for the winter. The stand will be serving up Mexican food (and ice cream) from November to March.
This follows in the footsteps of the Wind-Chill Factory's other location in Ticonderoga, which started serving Mexican food during last year's winter. In Milton, the ice cream stand is set to close for its regular season on October 30.
"We anticipate to be closed about a week and half to give us time to do a flip over in our kitchen for Mexican food," said owner Keely Whalen. "It will be all takeout/delivery for the winter season."
The winter menu includes make-your-own burritos, tacos and bowls with either chicken, steak, beef, or pork, as well as quesadillas, nachos, salads, soups, and mac and cheese. The winter dessert menu features soft ice cream, milkshakes, and ice cream cake slices.
In March, the Wind-Chill Factory will go back to its regular season menu, which features burgers, sandwiches, seafood baskets, hot dogs, chicken tenders, and expanded ice cream offerings. For the winter, the stand will be open every day from 11 p.m. to 7 p.m.
