(KRON) -- A man involved in a car collision last month in San Jose’s Willow Glen neighborhood has succumbed to his injuries, the San Jose Police Department announced Tuesday.
The two-vehicle crash occurred on the 1100 block of Lincoln Avenue on the afternoon of Dec. 6. According to investigators, the man was driving a 2015 Volkswagen Golf northbound when it rear-ended a 2015 Audi A5 being driven by a woman.
The man suffered a medical emergency, police said, before his vehicle struck the woman’s. He suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where he was later stabilized.
On Jan. 15, the man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
The death marks the city’s 49th fatal collision and 49th traffic death of 2024.
