One man died after a car caught on fire following a crash overnight in north St. Louis County.
ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - One man died after a car caught on fire following a crash overnight in north St. Louis County.
The crash happened around 4 a.m. Saturday near North Hanley Road and St. Charles Rock Road.
When officers arrived at the scene, they noticed a car on fire and located one man inside the vehicle. The man was rushed to a hospital for treatment, but he was later pronounced deceased.
Investigators say, based on preliminary findings, a driver was traveling in an unknown direction when the vehicle struck a pole, overturned, and caught on fire within a short period of time.
One woman was able to exit the vehicle. Her injuries are considered non-life-threatening.
