(BCN) -- A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a crash that injured him and the driver of another vehicle west of Napa on Monday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Ganesh Singh is accused in connection with the crash reported at about 10:50 p.m. Monday in the area of Old Sonoma and Congress Valley roads, where officers arrived to find a Volvo and Honda with both drivers having moderate to major injuries, CHP Officer Marc Renspurger said.
Investigators determined Singh was allegedly under the influence and had been speeding and weaving within his lane on southbound Old Sonoma Road before he crossed the double yellow lines and crashed head-on into the Honda that was heading north, Renspurger said.
The Honda driver, a 56-year-old man, was taken to a hospital with major injuries, while Singh was being treated before he will be taken to county jail, according to the CHP.
