(KRON) – The Petaluma Police Department arrested a man allegedly in possession of child pornography.
At 2:14 p.m. on Oct. 8, Petaluma police officers pulled over a man, identified as Gabriel Oates, driving on Kenilworth Drive. Petaluma PD said officers received a lead that Oates, 34, had illegal, obscene, digital images or data.
Police said officers had probable cause for a vehicle search, which yielded illegal and obscene material.
Oates was arrested and booked at the Sonoma County Jail for his warrant and possessing images/data, etc. of persons under 18 years of age engaging in or simulating sexual conduct.
Petaluma PD said this case is ongoing.
