AUSTIN (KXAN) -- With Halloween around the corner, you may be considering whether or not to put candy out for trick-or-treaters, and where you should get the candy from.

Big Top Candy Shop, Austin
Big Top, located at 1706 South Congress Avenue, has over 400 bulk candies, over 3,000 wrapped candies, specialty chocolates and fudge, and a fully functioning old-fashioned soda fountain and ice cream case, according to its website.
"It reminds me of the candy shop on Willy Wonka," one person said in a comment on Facebook. "Me and my kids absolutely love it."
Lammes Candies, Austin
Lammes Candies might be one of Austin's oldest businesses. It opened in 1885 and has been family-run since then, according to its website. The full-line candy company offers more than 1,000 items across its four locations, known mostly for its famous "Texas Chewie Pecan Praline."

La Dulceria, Austin
For a Mexican candy fix, La Dulceria in south Austin probably has what you're looking for.
The store specializes in Mexican candy and party supplies and offers wholesale and retail, according to its Facebook page. They're ready for Día de los Muertos and Halloween with promotions going on right now.
The shop is at 512 W Stassney Ln., Suite 110, Austin.
3-Star Candy Shop, Round Rock
According to its website, 3-Star Candy is family-owned and offers over 500 types of candies, including gummies, chocolates, bulk, packaged candy, and hundreds of old-fashioned soda bottles.
3-Star is located at 113 E. Main Street, Round Rock.
Dripping Springs Chocolate Co., Dripping Springs
Dripping Springs Chocolate Company makes "small batch bean-to-bar craft chocolates," that use "ethically sourced raw cacao beans, per its Facebook page and website.
The factory store, located at 391 Sportsplex Dr., Dripping Springs, is open for shopping on Fridays from noon to 5 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Customers can also order online between October and March or visit the company's Facebook, Instagram or website to find retailers.
Over The Moon Popcorn, San Marcos
A popcorn shop may not be the first place that comes to mind when you think of where to buy candy, but Over The Moon has it all.
A family-operated business, the shop of course has a variety of popcorns, but it also has nostalgic candy and fudge. The store is located just off I-35 at 925 TX-80 North, Ste A, San Marcos.
Le Petit Sweet Shop, New Braunfels
If you keep heading south on I-35 a little ways, you'll easily find Le Petit in New Braunfels.
The store, located in the city's downtown at 264 W. San Antonio St., New Braunfels, offers "nostalgic sweets, gourmet chocolates, or unique confections," its website said.
Sugar Shack Bastrop
The Sugar Shack in Bastrop has been serving up candy, ice cream, gifts, desserts, and more since 1995. The store has everything from chocolate strawberries to fudge and "the largest supply of candy in the region," according to its website.
The Sugar Shack can be found at 114 TX-150 Loop, Bastrop.
The Candy Bar Lago, Lago Vista
The Candy Bar Lago -- at 20900 RM 1431, Suite 204, Lago Vista -- has a wall of "pick and mix" candy sold by the pound.
The shop also serves Amy's Ice Cream, shaved ice, and gourmet popcorn and it sells nostalgic toys and packaged candy.
Hutto General Store, Hutto
The Hutto General Store, located at 103 East St., Hutto, has everything from home decor and baby items to seasonal goods and candy.
Its website notes that it has locally made chocolates from Fredericksburg along with a variety of other favorites, as well as specialty sodas and a wall of taffy.

Ms Lollipop Parties Fun & Gifts, Marble Falls
Halloween fiends can find costume and candy needs at Ms Lollipop's in Marble Falls. The store is a staple in the city's downtown since 1982 and has unique gifts, costumes, retro toys and candy, per the city's website.
The shop is located at 208 Main Street, Marble Falls.
Candy & More, Temple
Candy & More, inside the Temple Mall, prides itself on "putting the 'more' in Candy & More," its website said. The shop has bulk candies and chocolate, and a variety of gifts.
Lone Star Candy Bar, Fredericksburg
Lone Star Candy Bar has over 40 flavors of fudge, 36 flavors of Jelly Belly's, 36 flavors of saltwater taffy, 21 colors of M&Ms, a large selection of nostalgic candy bars and more, according to Fredericksburg's website.
The shop is located at 254 E. Main St., Fredericksburg along the city's iconic downtown strip.
