Centro35, a 330-unit affordable housing community off Interstate 35 south of San Marcos' downtown area, celebrated its grand opening Thursday. The complex is located at 508 Labrador Blvd.
The NRP Group was the developer behind the community, which will provide "high-quality, amenity-rich housing to residents earning up to 60 percent of the Area Median Income (AMI)," according to a release from the group.

It includes various amenities to accommodate those lifestyles, including a resort-style swimming pool, 24-hour fitness center and conference center with individual work pods for remote work.
The development also has a dedicated activity room to host resident services like health screenings, after-school programming, financial literacy training, a first-time homebuyer program and English as a Second Language courses, according to The NRP Group.
