Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 release pushed back to 2025
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 delayed to February 2025. Warhorse Studios to reveal new gameplay, trailer, and Collector's Edition at Gamescom 2024.
Warhorse Studios has announced that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will be delayed until February 11, 2025. The much-anticipated sequel was originally expected to come out in late 2024 and will now coincide with the anniversary week of the original game’s release. The changes were revealed in a video posted on X by the studio’s PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling.
A message from Warhorse Studios! The official release date for #KCD2 is 11 February 2025.
It's a long wait, but we have a lot to show you between now and release, starting with:

However, along with this delay comes a lot more content and showcases leading up to the game’s release. Over Gamescom 2024, Warhorse Studios plans to reveal over twenty minutes of gameplay and a new trailer. They also plan on revealing a collector’s edition during the event, with previews for journalists and content creators coming soon.
Warhorse Studios to showcase new gameplay at Gamescom
To build hype around the game, Warhorse Studios will be showing off Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live on August 20th. This showcase will include a twenty-minute gameplay session where attendees at home can see how the game plays from mechanics, environment, and new features, all shown first-hand. They are also planning on releasing another brand-new trailer at some point during this event, which will go into further detail about storylines or scope present within the title.
Attendees of Gamescom will also get the chance to play a demo of the game. A collector’s edition is being announced, and it is expected to include exclusive content for fans. While no specific reasons were given for why it has taken so long this time round, it seems like they simply want people’s expectations met by making sure everything is perfect before launching.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 expands with bigger world and enhanced features
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is going to be much bigger than the original title of 2018. The game will be twice as big as the previous one, offering better animations, more weapons and new intelligent non-player character interactions. It continues the story of Henry, set in the early 15th century in Bohemia, and stays committed to historical accuracy and realistic gameplay.
Despite the postponement, Warhorse Studios remained true to their idea for this game. They delayed it until February 2025 so they could add some final touches and make sure everything was perfect. The game will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, giving players a wide range of platforms.
The postponement follows a similar trend that also resulted in longer development time before the release of the first edition of Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Nonetheless, the sequel is expected to build from what started from its predecessor, delivering wider open-world areas for participants to explore in detail.
