ST. LOUIS - With the 2025 NHL Winter Classic just days away, Jordan Binnington has revealed a special customized goalie mask for the marquee event, paying tribute to three St. Louis Cardinals legends.

The St. Louis Blues will battle the Chicago Blackhawks in Tuesday's Winter Classic at Wrigley Field, the longtime home of MLB's Chicago Cubs. Their biggest all-time rival? None other than the St. Louis Cardinals.

Binnington will use a goaltender mask that features sketches of recently-retired Cardinals legends Albert Pujols, Yadier Molina and Adam Wainwright.

The helmet design also includes the iconic bricks and ivy of Wrigley Field, in addition to a Blues logo on both sides of the helmet with a cream background on par with the team's main Winter Classic jersey color.

The Pujols-Molina-Wainwright trio set a standard that might not ever be matched again in Cardinals history, shattering improbable baseball records, reaching historic milestones, and winning two World Series championships together.

Fittingly, Binnington set a Blues record of his own this season, breaking the franchise's all-time wins record last month.

The upcoming Winter Classic matchup will be the Blues' third time competing in the event. The Blues won both of their previous two Winter Classic matchups: 2017 in St. Louis over the Blackhawks and 2022 in Minnesota with Binnington in net.

Puck drop for the 2025 NHL Winter Classic is set for 4 p.m. Tuesday at Chicago's Wrigley Field. TNT will carry the live TV game broadcast, which will also be available to simulcast on truTV and stream on Max.
