Winter Weather Advisories and Winter Storm Warnings continue through late Sunday morning. Avalanche dangers also exist for the backcountry into Monday evening.

Temperatures in Denver and across the plains will jump back into the middle and upper 50s, with some areas likely touching 60 degrees or warmer. It will be a little breezy in the afternoon. The mountains will see a brief break from snow showers.

Looking ahead: Windy Monday before a cooler start to 2025
There will still be active weather despite dry conditions. Winds Monday are forecast to gust up to 40 miles per hour in Denver and the plains, with the foothills potentially seeing wind gusts upwards of 60 miles per hour. Because of this, there is a Red Flag Warning in effect, so outdoor burning is not a good idea at all Monday.
Temperatures briefly dip for New Year’s Eve and Day with highs falling to around 40 degrees – a few degrees colder than usual.
This doesn't last long. By Thursday, the area returns to the mid-40s, which is near-normal, and the 50s by the end of the week.
