A High Ridge, Missouri, man stands accused of gunning down his son on Christmas Eve.
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. – A High Ridge, Missouri, man stands accused of gunning down his son on Christmas Eve.
According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting happened Tuesday evening in the 6400 block of Highway PP in High Ridge.
Investigators said Harold E. Luster, 61, retrieved a firearm and threatened a person during an argument. Luster then turned the gun on his own son, Kevin M. Ward and shot him. Ward died as a result. He was 26.
The Jefferson County Prosecutor’s Office charged Luster with first-degree murder and armed criminal action. Luster remains jailed without bond.
