Woman charged with Barnhart stabbings
A Barnhart, Missouri, woman was charged with stabbing two people and a dog on Christmas Eve.
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. - A Barnhart, Missouri, woman was charged with stabbing two people and a dog on Christmas Eve.
According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, the stabbing took place in the 1900 block of Parkton Way on Tuesday afternoon.
Investigators said Lisa M. Albrecht, 48, stabbed a 68-year-old man and a K9 unit. The second victim, a 47-year-old woman, was injured while trying to stop Albrecht from attacking the first victim.
Albrecht apparently began stabbing herself after 911 was called. She was hospitalized and eventually released.
The Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney's Office charged Albrecht with first-degree assault, second-degree assault, animal abuse - second or subsequent offense, unlawful use of a weapon, and three counts of armed criminal action. Albrecht remains jailed without bond.
