Cub Scouts use community service project to help local animals
The scouts are currently hosting a donation driver with bins around the region to support the organization Pets Alive.
MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Cub Scout Pack 1059 is doing a community service project dedicated to helping local animals. The scouts are currently hosting a donation driver with bins around the region to support the organization Pets Alive.
The donation bins are at the following locations:
- Milford Pet Supply in Milford, Pennsylvania
- PetSmart in Middletown, New York
- Petco in Middletown, New York
- Chester Tractor Supply in Chester, New York
- Hometowne Pet & Supply in Warwick, New York
- Northern Bear Pet Food & Supplies in Goshen, New York
- Holy Cross Catholic Church in Middletown, New York
Next Tuesday, November 19, the scouts will be doing a crafting project at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Middletown to create holiday stockings for shelter animals filled with donations. The older scouts will build outdoor cat houses.
Pets Alive also invited the scouts to a donation drop-off event in Middletown on November 24. Scouts will be able to tour the facility and learn about the organization's work.
