Units were dispatched at 1:40 a.m. Saturday and arrived a few minutes later at 5373 Mission Center Road, the former location of In Cahoots Dance Hall & Saloon in the Mission Valley neighborhood, according to the San Diego Fire- Rescue Department.
A total of 110 personnel were assigned to the fire, including two medics, six trucks, and 14 engines, officials said.
It was reported that the building’s roof had collapsed early Saturday morning, while Mission Center Road was temporarily closed near the site.
No injuries or evacuations were immediately reported, but a fire investigator has been assigned.
The cause of the fire was unknown.
