(KRON) -- A vehicle pursuit of organized retail theft suspects in the East Bay on Wednesday ended in two arrests at the Sunvalley Shopping Center in Concord, according to police. Two other suspects remain on the run.
The Concord Police Department responded at 2:30 p.m. to the area of Diamond Boulevard and Burnett Avenue after a license plate reader alerted of a car connected to organized retail theft and vehicle burglaries. Concord PD’s Special Enforcement Team located the suspect car and attempted a traffic stop.
The driver failed to yield, according to authorities, prompting a slow-speed police pursuit. The car was disabled by spike strips as it continued onto Sunvalley Shopping Center property.
After the car came to a stop, four suspects jumped out and fled on foot, police said. Two of the suspects were caught and arrested, while the other two remain outstanding.
Inside the car, which was reported stolen out of San Francisco, Concord PD said they located burglary tools and a variety of stolen property.
