Colorado football fans hoping for triple victory on Saturday
With two state college teams and the Denver Broncos, all playing important football games on the same day, state Sports Books can’t wait for kick-off.
DENVER (KDVR) — With two state college teams and the Denver Broncos, all playing important football games on the same day, state Sports Books can’t wait for kick-off.
On Saturday, Colorado State University plays in the Arizona Bowl, and at the same time, the Broncos play the Cincinnati Bengals. Later in the day, the University of Colorado Boulder plays in the Valero Alamo Bowl.
At the AmeriStar Sports Book, the sportsbook manager said three Colorado teams playing on the same day, will only increase betting activity.
“As hot as ever, we’re not going anywhere, anytime soon,” said manager Dion Valdez.
If CU and CSU win they can end their football seasons on a high note, both picking up a prestigious bowl game victory. If the Broncos win they will officially clinch a spot in the playoffs.
With the Rams and Broncos kicking off at 2:30 p.m., Valdez suggested gamblers arrive between noon and 1 p.m.
CSU's bowl game will be broadcast on Channel 2.
