Body Found in Burning Vehicle at Escondido Storage Facility
Officers responded around 10 a.m. Sunday to reports of smoke coming from a Hyundai sedan at 325 Brotherton Road near the intersection of South Escondido Boulevard, just outside of a door at a Public Storage, according to the Escondido Police Department.
A person was found dead Sunday inside a burning vehicle at a storage facility in Escondido, authorities said.
Officers responded around 10 a.m. Sunday to reports of smoke coming from a Hyundai sedan at 325 Brotherton Road near the intersection of South Escondido Boulevard, just outside of a door at a Public Storage, according to the Escondido Police Department.
“One person was found deceased in the vehicle. We do not know the cause of the fire or death,” a public information officer with the department told City News Service.
Crews were expected to remain at the scene for several more hours, officials said.
