AURORA, Colo. (KDVR) — An Aurora woman is worried after her truck had its rear window broken into by men she worries may have been armed.

It happened early Saturday morning at the Foxdale Condominiums, located off of East Alameda Parkway near Buckley Space Force Base.

“My son woke me up and he had heard a noise," said Shannon Holloman.

That noise came from right outside Holloman’s son’s window, which overlooks the space where she parks her truck. Looking outside, she saw two vehicles back up to her truck. She describes the two suspect vehicles as a white, older-model Chevy pickup with damage to the driver door and no tailgate and a compact blue car with bubble headlights.

“The white truck had backed the tail to the tail of my truck," said Holloman.

Holloman ran downstairs to intervene. The suspects left before she got outside, but the damage had already been done.

“They had broke this in half. We noticed they spilled fuel behind my truck and there was even a little bit of gasoline in the truck," said Holloman.

The suspects broke through her lock and cracked the rear windshield on her camper shell in half, making it unusable. Even more concerning to Holloman, she found a bullet casing on the ground where the suspects were working.

“They were either trying to steal my tailgate or items inside the truck which we have secured at this point at another location," said Holloman.

As a postal worker, she is thankful the damage won’t impact her getting to work at the busiest time of the year.

"I will get it handled but, you know, it's just very inconvenient," said Holloman.

However, she hopes the suspects are found soon so no one else is harmed.

“They need to be caught," she said. "They could end up killing somebody.”

Holloman called Aurora police immediately after the incident and said the agency took the bullet casing with them after leaving. She is asking anyone with information to contact the Aurora Police Department.
