3 teens arrested in Daly City purse snatching robbery

(KRON) – The Daly City Police Department arrested three teenagers in connection to the robbery of a purse on Sunday evening.

Police responded to the 200 block of Vista Grande Avenue just after 7 p.m. on the report of a robbery. Officers located a victim who said a suspect grabbed her head from behind and forced her to the ground while pulling on her crossbody purse. Two other suspects approached and the group told her to let go of the purse and “everything would be okay,” police said.

The victim, fearing for her life, removed her purse. The suspects grabbed the purse and fled west of Vista Grande Ave.

Daly City officers later located and arrested the three suspects after the victim positively identified them, according to police. The purse and its contents, including $1,845 in cash, a passport and an ID card, were returned to the victim.

The first suspect, identified as a 19-year-old Daly City resident, was booked into jail for robbery, conspiracy and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The second suspect, a 17-year-old Daly City resident, was booked into the Youth Services Center for robbery, conspiracy and possession of a dagger. The third suspect, a 16-year-old Daly City resident, was booked into the Youth Services Center for robbery, conspiracy, possession of a stun gun and resisting arrest.
