DENVER (KDVR) — Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live in the wild west? Whether you're a Western culture vet or brand new to the scene, you have the opportunity to work in one of Colorado's great Western traditions
The National Western Stock Show announced that it is looking for over 400 seasonal workers to help get its massive event up and running. With 16 days jam-packed with events starting on Jan. 11, a quick turnaround and plenty of hard work will be needed to create a safe and bustling environment for people and animals.
"We're looking for people who bring a great attitude and strong work ethic to our team," Mikayla Morrison, Senior Director of Human Resources & Hiring, said in a release. "We're proud to hire from our local community, and we encourage people from all backgrounds to apply—no event experience needed."
The positions will open in several departments including:
- Event operations
- Parking
- Guest relations
- Ticket office
In old-West fashion, plenty of hard work outdoors is to be expected. Shifts can last anywhere from four to 12 hours and work will continue regardless of whether there is rain, snow or heat.
All of that hard work won't go unrewarded of course with seasonal employees starting at $18.81 per hour. Those who are interested must be 16 years old or older, legally authorized to work in the United States and able to pass a background check.
If interested in any of these positions, apply on the National Western Stock Show website or visit the National Western Stock Show Employment Office at 4695 Franklin St., Denver to apply in person.
