17-year-old pleads guilty to 2023 fatal shooting
A 17-year-old pleaded guilty in court on Tuesday for the fatal shooting of a 23-year-old man after an argument last year.
ST. LOUIS - A 17-year-old pleaded guilty in court on Tuesday for the fatal shooting of a 23-year-old man after an argument last year.
According to the St. Louis City Circuit Attorney's Office, Robert Walker Jr. was 16 at the time when he shot and killed Robert Green, 23, in the 5100 block of Greer Avenue in the city's Kingsway West neighborhood.
The fatal shooting happened on August 26, 2023, when Walker had gotten into an argument with Green regarding the purchase of a gun. According to the Circuit Attorney's Office, Walker chased Green out of a gangway and shot him multiple times.
The Circuit Attorney's Office said the shooting was caught on video and showed Green collapsing onto the street. Walker then allegedly shot him twice in the head and took his gun.
Walker was sentenced to 19 years in prison for second-degree murder and an additional three years for armed criminal action.
