Zendaya, 28, took to Instagram on Wednesday, October 16, to show off her new crimped Covet & Mane hair extensions while posing in a campaign for the sportswear brand, which she is also the face of, On. Her golden locks were perfectly blended with her waist-length extensions, which featured a mix of bright blonde and cool brown strands.
To achieve the goddess glam, hairstylist Antoinette Hill shared via Instagram that she first “transformed the [extension] tracks into a custom U-part cap” the day before the shoot to save time while installing them in the actresses’ tresses.
On the day of the photoshoot, Hill prepped Zendaya’s mane by “leaving out her natural hairline and center part to ensure full coverage of the extensions.”
Hill continued, “I then added a few cornrows for a flat foundation. Then, I stitched the extension U-part to Zendaya’s cornrows for added hold and security.”
Next, Hill blended Zendaya’s mane with the extensions to create a seamless finish. She cut layers into her curls to “create shape and movement.”
Zendaya Unveils Yet Another Hair Change — This Time Bangs!
Zendaya has been a blonde beauty since the Challengers press circuit began back in April, which she did as “a little reset.”
While getting ready for the movie’s Australian premiere, Zendaya told Vogue that she decided to lighten her locks ahead of her first promo tour look to give “the people that right taste.”
“That’s why I dyed my hair,” she explained. “Just so it felt like a different press tour. A little reset.”
While traveling the globe to promote the film, Zendaya had fun with her new above-the-shoulder look, styling her tresses in sleek updos, bouncy blowouts, long braids and more.

Zendaya also channeled her Challengers character in a coterie of tennis-inspired styles in keeping with the sporty storyline in the movie.
For the Sydney premiere, the actress scored major style points in a Loewe gown with a Wimbledon-worthy dress with a tennis silhouette. She added a glamorous twist with diamond earrings and glittery green eyeshadow. A sartorial win-win, indeed.
