Woman killed in Austin shooting identified
A woman who was killed in a shooting Monday that also wounded another person in Austin has been identified.Kalis Davis, 23, was in the 600 block of North Leamington Avenue about 1 a.m. when someone fired shots, striking her in the torso, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.Davis was taken to Stroger Hospital, where she was pronounced dead about 10:20 a.m. Monday, according to police and the medical examiner’s office. Her death was ruled a homicide.Another woman, 29, suffered gunshot wounds to both her legs and took herself to the same hospital, where she was listed in good condition, police said.No arrests have been reported.
