A 26-year-old woman died of her injuries after a shooting Sunday in an east Lakewood neighborhood, police said Tuesday.
A 26-year-old woman died of her injuries after a shooting Sunday in an east Lakewood neighborhood, police said Tuesday.
Lakewood police responded to a shooting in the 1400 block of South Kendall Street, the agency said in a post on X. The area is in the Greenbriar Cloverdale neighborhood near Lasley Elementary School.
Officers found one woman with a gunshot wound and she was taken to the hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
Department officials did not provide additional details about the shooting and could not immediately be reached for comment. Police do not believe there is an “active threat” to the community, the agency said on X.
