White Sox DFA Steven Wilson, claim lefty Brandon Eisert off waivers
The White Sox claimed left-hander Brandon Eisert off waivers from the Tampa Bay Rays and designated right-hander Steven Wilson for assignment.Eisert, 27, spent most of last season with the Toronto Blue Jays’ Triple-A Buffalo club, posting a 3.86 ERA over 53 2/3 innings. He made three relief appearances for the Blue Jays (4.05 ERA) and was traded him to Tampa Bay for cash considerations Jan. 23Wilson, acquired from the Padres with three prospects for Dylan Cease last March, battled injuries and was 1-6 with a 5.71 ERA in 40 relief appearances for the Sox last season.The Sox also said outfielder Zach DeLoach cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Charlotte.
