Where to get free sandbags in San Diego County ahead of rain
A storm system that has the potential to bring significant rainfall is expected to arrive mid-week.

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- A storm system that has the potential to bring significant rainfall is expected to arrive mid-week.
Residents should prepare for the wet conditions by using sandbags, which help redirect stormwater and debris flows away from property improvements, according to the County of San Diego.
Rain runoff can damage homes, clog culverts and storm drains, and flood and damage roadways.
The atmospheric river is forecasted to bring heavy rains Wednesday through Friday.
