A visibly intoxicated woman was taken into custody after crashing her Tesla while being pursued by police overnight.
According to initial information, officers attempted to stop the woman in Reseda just before 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.
She did not yield, and a pursuit was initiated on Sherman Way near Haskell Avenue, the Los Angeles Police Department told KTLA in an update issued shortly after 9:30 a.m.
The woman eventually collided with a Toyota pickup truck at the intersection of Sherman and Lindley Avenue after a pursuit lasting about 30 seconds, LAPD stated.
Video from the scene shows officers assisting the woman, who appeared unable to stand up straight at times. She was seen being placed in handcuffs before being escorted into the back of a Los Angeles Police Department squad car.
Both her Tesla and the pickup truck were severely damaged. The driver of the pickup truck was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
The Tesla driver, only identified as a 60-year-old woman, was arrested for driving under the influence, LAPD said.
