ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A trial date has been set for the woman charged with causing a deadly crash that killed 12-year-old Travis Wolfe in December 2023.

Driver Endrina Bracho, who is an undocumented immigrant, is currently in ICE custody.

Aug. 11 is the day Travis Wolfe's family will face Bracho in a St. Louis County courtroom. Bracho is facing an involuntary manslaughter charge after police said she caused the crash on Dec. 20, 2023.

Travis was riding in a Jeep with his parents when police said Bracho hit them head-on. Officers said Bracho was going 75 miles per hour on a 40-mile-per-hour road when she hit the Wolfe family. Travis died in March 2024 from his injuries.

The crash, Travis' story, and Bracho have garnered national attention. Senator Josh Hawley recently named a law after him.

“What it would do is mandate federal detention of illegal immigrants against a minor. Travis Wolfe was only 12 years old when he was mowed down, run over, literally by an illegal immigrant here from Venezuela who never should have been here," Hawley said.

Court records show Bracho was in the country illegally. She is currently in ICE custody in Indiana, awaiting deportation. Bracho's attorney said Thursday that she will be brought back to St. Louis while waiting for trial.

Hawley said we'll see more deportations after a new executive order was signed by President Trump on Monday.

"I think we'll see more raids and we'll see the law being enforced, which is as it should be,” he said. “If you are here illegally, you shouldn't be here at all; number one, that in itself is a crime. But number two, if you commit a crime of violence, you ought to be out of this country in a heartbeat.”

FOX 2 reached out to ICE to find out when Bracho would be deported but they have not responded.
